Rudolph Research Analytical acquires assets of Rudolph Instruments DBA DigiPol Technologies
Rudolph Research Analytical (RRA) has acquired the assets of Rudolph Instruments, Inc, manufacturer of the DigiPol line of Polarimeters.
Rudolph Research Analytical is a highly respected worldwide manufacturer of high-accuracy laboratory instrumentation. With roots in sugar purity testing dating back to before the 1970s, Rudolph is a multi-generational, privately held company with its main office in Hackettstown, NJ, 5 offices around the world, and partners operating in over 80 countries. Rudolph has maintained a strong presence for many decades across many industries, manufacturing high-accuracy Polarimeters, Saccharimeters, and Refractometers.
Rudolph Instruments was founded in 1948 and has designed and manufactured Polarimeters ever since. Coinciding with the retirement of its CEO, the assets of Rudolph Instruments have been purchased by Rudolph Research Analytical.
Rudolph Research Analytical will support former DigiPol customers by offering new RRA instruments as replacements. RRA will also support QCP calibration customers by offering new calibrated RRA Quartz Control Plates at recalibration price levels. We will not service, repair, or sell parts for the DigiPol polarimeters.
All customers will receive solutions to replace DigiPol products in their laboratories.
What does this mean for Rudolph Research Analytical?
For many years, customers have been confused by having two Polarimeter manufacturers in New Jersey with “Rudolph” as part of its naming convention. Many Digipol customers purchased polarimeters from DigiPol thinking they were buying from RRA. Having one Rudolph polarimeter in the marketplace will create clarity and a single point of contact for instrumentation and NIST traceable optical rotation standards and services.
Rudolph Instrument’s phone numbers, email addresses, and websites will remain in place but will be redirected to RRA.
