I wanted to respond to your invitation to put in a good word for Rudolph Research Analytical and your product line. We purchased two J257 Automatic Refractometers in 2002 to support a new resin development program here at Ashland. Those instruments not only supply critical data in the creation and optimization of products, but they often do so as many as seven days a week. The ability to make fast, accurate and reliable determinations of refractive index in just a matter of seconds allows us to maximize the quality of our products.
Other than a power supply issue early in their service, we have had virtually no problems with either unit. Your support and response in that situation was exemplary and gave us great confidence in the instruments. We would not hesitate to purchase more. In fact, our European lab in Rotterdam and one production facility here in the U.S. are both “scheduled” to purchase J157 units this year.
