67.5% Brix Fluid Sucrose (15 ML)
Rudolph Standards Lab
The Rudolph Standards Lab is a new department within RRA that produces NIST traceable standards to support Rudolph’s line of high-precision instruments. These standards can be used for the calibration and/or verification of instrument performance in the most demanding applications. We are constantly expanding our product line and offer custom standards tailored to your application.
Our Brix standards are prepared gravimetrically using high precision balances under carefully controlled environmental conditions to provide accurate, high quality products every time. The balances are calibrated using weights with ISO 17025 accredited certificates for trusted performance. Every lot is tested using our high-precision refractometer validated near the nominal Brix value with traceable reference standards. The measured results, obtained in °Brix units, are in accordance with SPS-3 of the International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA).
The above material is intended for use as a Brix standard for the calibration and validation of refractometers.
Clear, colorless to slightly yellow viscous liquid in a dropper bottle.
The uncertainty of the reported value is valid until the container is opened and is stated using a coverage factor of k=2,
which corresponds to an approximately 95 % confidence interval. Once the container is opened, the certified value is no
longer guaranteed, however the solution can generally be used for approximately half the remaining time until the
expiration date when stored properly.
The certified value was determined according to the internal procedure SOP00530 with a calibrated Rudolph Research
Analytical Refractometer Model J457 (Serial Number OBM1053) validated near the nominal Brix value with traceable
reference standards. The measured results obtained in °Brix units are in accordance with SPS-3 of the International
Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA).
Equipment and standards used and are traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through the National Institute
of Standards and Technology (NIST) or other National Metrology Institute (NMI).
Keep container tightly sealed and stored in a cool location when not in use.
Allow product to come to room temperature and then mix well prior to use. Open container for the minimal amount of
time required to dispense the test portion and then immediately reseal. Do not use if crystallization is present. Use at 20
± 4 °C. Discard the first several drops prior to use. There is no minimum required sample size.
